The Regina & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Tyler Willox as 2017 Chair of the Regina Chamber’s Board of Directors. Tyler has been a member of the board since January 2013.
As a member of the board of directors, some duties include the following responsibilities: being familiar with the Regina Chamber, its mission, vision and strategic goals, attending board, committee and chamber events, and demonstrating integrity, honest and leadership while a being a member in good standing of the chamber.
One of the strategic initiatives that Tyler has been a part of is developing a 2017-2019 Strategic Plan for the chamber. As the 2017 Chair, Tyler will be responsible for overseeing initiatives that will occur in the first year of the plan which includes increased membership engagement, increasing board diversity and improving value provided to a diverse membership base.
Tyler acquired his BBA in Marketing at the University of Regina in 2010. During his time at the U of R, he was active on many fronts including volunteering with the Hill Business Students Society, working as Vice-President of Student Affairs for the University of Regina’s Students Union, and as a Senator for the University, the highest academic council of the school.
He is currently pursuing his MBA from Queen’s University which is to be completed in 2018.
Tyler is currently a strategic advisor in Corporate Development for Information Services Corp (ISC). He became part of ISC’s team in September 2013 and helped the company transition from a publicly held organization into a private company. He was also part of the mergers & acquisitions integration team that helped Viterra’s transition when it was acquired by Glencore in 2011.
His LinkedIn profile includes a recommendation from the Hon. Tina Beaudry-Mellor, whom he has worked with in many different political capacities. “Tyler Willox has worked with me in various capacities over the past number of years, most recently in a political capacity. He is very strong at building networks and relationships, with a political acumen that surpasses his age. He is extremely hardworking, honest, reliable and loyal. I would choose to work with him again whenever the opportunity arises,” she writes.
In addition to his work with the Regina Chamber, Tyler also volunteers with KidSport Saskatchewan, CNIB Saskatchewan and the City of Regina's Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee.
