Saskatchewan Strong Recovery Adaption Rebate (SRAR) - Ms. Sophie Gaudet, Manager, Strategic Policy & Competitiveness
The program reimburses businesses for 50% of total eligible business-adaptation investments made by the applicant between April 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021. The maximum government payment is $5,000. Application deadline is March 31, 2021.
Saskatchewan Small Business Emergency Payment (SSBEP) - Vanessa Swanston, Sr. Financial Analyst – Strategic Policy and Competitiveness)
This provides a payment to small and medium-sized businesses directly affected by provincial public health orders in effect during December 2020 and January 2021 to help control the transmission of related to COVID-19. Payments are issued based on 15 per cent of a business's monthly sales revenue, to a maximum of $5,000 per month. Must apply before March 2, 2021.
The program was extended for the month of January as public health orders have been extended. Businesses that have submitted an application for December do not need to reapply for the January eligibility period.
Re-Open Saskatchewan Training Subsidy (RSTS) - Emery Schnell, A/Director, Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant
Employers could access up to $10,000 to provide existing employees with training that supports economic recovery by addressing increased health and safety requirements and/or adoption of innovative practices that align with social distancing protocols. Applicants must demonstrate that the requested training supports the safe re-opening of the service or business. Employers are reimbursed for 100% of approved training costs up to $10,000. The application deadline is March 31, 2021.
