"Breaking Down Barriers To Trade Within Our Borders"

In 2006, Canada had free trade agreements with only five countries.  Today, Canada has binding free trade agreements with 43 countries around the world, making up half the global marketplace.   However, the result is that Canadians currently provide greater trade benefits to foreigners than we do ourselves.  These internal trade barriers cripple our economy and put Canadian businesses at a disadvantage.
