"State of the Chamber" update from John Hopkins, CEO, Regina & District Chamber of Commerce
Biography of John Hopkins
John was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario prior to moving to Regina in 1981. Over the years John has held a range of occupations including running his own business, being the Executive Director of Regina’s Market Square and is currently employed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce. John also Chairs the Regina Trades & Skills Centre.
Over the last number of years he has been active in the setup of the Paul Martin Aboriginal Education Entrepreneurship Initiative, an Aboriginal focused Employment Coordinator position at the Chamber, the All Nations Jobs Expo as well as a number of other labour related initiatives.
John was awarded the Executive of the Year at the 2013 Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting and was featured as one of Saskatchewan’s Men of Influence in the Saskbusiness Magazine. He was presented with the 2016 Irven Snider Marketing Award for Chambers Plan marketing and promotional efforts.
