Global Transportation Hub
Saskatchewan is home to the Global Transportation Hub (GTH) - a world-class transportation and logistics development a little more than five kilometers west of the Regina. It is the largest such project of its kind undertaken in the history of the province and is quickly gaining notoriety as Canada’s premier inland port. Comprising 1,800 acres, the GTH helps local, national and international companies connect to global markets through an efficient rail and road infrastructure. Ideally situated adjacent to the CP mainline and in the middle of two major highways systems, the GTH offers quick turnaround and efficient transportation access to markets across the globe. The GTH offers land for sale or lease to businesses in the following segments: transportation & logistics, warehousing & distribution, as well as light processing and manufacturing. The GTH has nine clients including key anchor tenants, Canadian Pacific Railway (300-acre intermodal facility) and Loblaw, which has invested about $250 million in its 1.1 million square foot western Canada warehouse and distribution facility. By attracting new clients, the GTH is doing its part to stimulate commerce, create jobs and spur economic activity that is helping sustain the quality of life that the citizens of our province cherish.
